Jonny Hannah

Jonny’s work embodies a mixture of painting, drawing and printing techniques to create rich and sometimes dense images. He is greatly inspired by music and fictional characters and these create a strong narrative in his work.

The visual language and pastiche in Jonny’s work clearly represents his interests and this in turn has led to commissions that blur the lines of work and pleasure. He also plays in his ‘midlife crisis’ band The Postmen where he can be seen with his distinctive blue Gretsch Streamline guitar.

It’s evident that Jonny loves what he does and works profusely whether on commercial projects or something of his own invention. He creates limited edition screen and lino prints as well as books and printed collages.
