Kate Strachan

Kate is an artist and teacher based in Brighton, a studio member of Phoenix Art Space and regular exhibitor and host of Artist Open Houses. 

After many years as a textile & print designer, Kate has returned to painting in acrylics and limited edition screen prints on paper. 

Her current work is influenced by a mid century aesthetic. 

Using pots and domestic objects as inspiration for Still Life compositions, Kate works with bold colours and abstracted interpretations of form and perspective that are primarily an interplay of shapes, edges and the spaces in between.
